The Technique --
Pacilantic tile is all hand crafted and painted tiles. All the tiles are hand crafted and painted by the artists who graduated from art school.  The unique glaze gives the tile enamel glass feeling.   Besides unique glaze, to create a beautiful deco tile or mural also requires a high degree of skill.  The artist first has to draw the outline on the raw tile, then use the tube-lined craft skill to outline the object.  The tube lining is a method of decorating glazed tiles by using relief outline to highlight the objects. After the outline has been done, then different colored translucent glazes are applied - again by brush - to the separate areas of the design to create miniature works of art.  Because of the relief outline and special stone inlay technique, the finished tile presents 3D and texture feeling.   The stone inlay technique can be found in ocean liver series. Each mural has assembling number on the back of each tile.  It is very easy to puzzle them together.

All the field tiles are also hand-painted individually. Therefore, the shade variation can be expected, which shows the Hand-Painted effects.  We also have 11 different shapes of hand made moldings to choose from. 

Color & Craze --
The designs of the stocked materials are based on the catalogue representation.  However, the glazed ceramic tiles and murals are hand crafted and painted piece by piece.  Each tile or mural is an individual artwork.  The details and color matches are not guaranteed.  Due to the nature of fired clay, the temperature differences within the kiln, and other matters, the finished piece may vary from tile to tile.  Tiles are subject to variations in color.   All the field tiles are also hand painted individually. We do not guarantee that tiles received in subsequent orders will exactly match those from the original order or another order. Before fixing tiles, it is important to lay them out in good light to ensure that any shade difference is evenly distributed.
        
It's possible for glazed tiles to craze before or after installation.  This is natural characteristic of many glazes and in no way affects the quality or purpose of the tile.  Over a period of time some wearing and scratching may occur with glazed tiles.  Abrasive cleaners and other acids should be avoided.  Care should be taken to install our tile where chipping and scratching are minimized.

Ceramic Tile Installation --
It is not suggested to use deco tile as a counter top because over time wearing may occur to the relief outline.Hand painted tile is designed as interior wall tile. They are not frost rated.  We do not suggest using our hand painted tile in swimming pools because it is ceramic tile not porcelain.   For swimming pool, please use our glass tile.

Breakage Restoration --
For the mural, in case there is breakage during installation, we can repair the damaged piece for the customer. However, we do not guarantee that the replaced piece will exactly match with the original set because each mural was painted individually. The unique outline and color will not be able to match exactly.
